The following comment is inspired by Matthew 5:42, "Give to him who asks you,and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away." We,as the church, can't be in denial
of the needs that we have and of others who may ask us for help with those needs. Help is not always as clear and helpful, and can be damaging and hurtful. The way Jesus spoke at that time, some may say we got it,now times have change so what Jesus taught then
don't mean nothing now. Not true,it is still ministering and teaching the church till this very day. We,the church have learned and is do well in giving in many ways. We are giving food, clothes, helping with rent, and in other way. But when help comes in the
form of,will you lend me,or can I borrow, that's when we need to be caution and careful. To borrow is a loan, meaning I will pay you back, whether it's money,a cup of sugar, salt, clothes, shoe or anything that was agreed upon when it was request to borrow. Lord
help us when we are in these moments when we are the one who asking or is asking of to borrow, that our words are honored, and at the end of the agreement, respect and love for one another is still there.
